She was predeceased by: her mother Cinda Gates; and her grandparents, Wilma, Melvin Gates, Patricia and Harold Gift.
She is survived by: her father Jerry Gates; her siblings, Jeannette, Julie Gates, Cathy Hering (William) of Grafton and Jerry Gates (Kellie) of Tupelo, MS.; her nieces and nephews, Tiffany Stewert (Kevin), Cody Gates (Hailey), Jerrid Hering, Brody Kaufman (Samantha), Alicia Olson (Daniel), Hardy McKnight and Charnelia Gates; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Allen, Elijah, Natalee, Scarlet, Flynn, Ezra and Spencer. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and adopted family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Elyria Community Church of the Nazarene, to be put towards the Crisis Care Kits for areas going through natural disasters.
