He was predeceased by: his brothers, David (Diane), Gregory (Kathy), Joseph (Lisa) and Michael (Marlene); his parents, Raymond Diederich and Olga Diederich; and his brother Paul.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his sisters, Annie Ressler (Scott), Debra Tschudy (David) and Genie Diederich; and his parents-in-law, Charles and Isabel Hewitt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
