He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Honsberger and Thelma May Honsberger (Scheider); his grandson Garrett Schimming; and his sister Sharon Merritt. He is survived by: his wife Debra L. Schack Honsberger (Karl); his children, Tracey Papakonstantinou (Anthony), Jason Honsberger (Mandi Ball), Ross Honsberger (Nicole) and Carrie Hartman (Jon); his stepsons, Rustun, Andrew (Jeanne) and Todd Schack; his brothers, Peter Stroup (Cherry) and Dennis Honsberger (Brenda); and his brother-in-law Donald Cable. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
