He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Heins and Clara Heins (Sampson); his wife Margaret Recny; his son Richard Heins; and his son-in-law Eugene Avers.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan Avers; his daughter-in-law Cindy Heins; and his grandchildren, Michelle Kessen (Doug), Matthew Avers, Kendra Davis (Todd), Stacy Huntoon (Tim) and Kyle Heins (Keri). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 279; Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; Genoa Retirement Village; Woodmore FFA Alumni or donor's choice.
