He was predeceased by: his parents, Rexford E. Richmond and Vivian M. Richmond (Wheeler); and his siblings, Mike Richmond and Ann Richmond. He is survived by: his children, Fonda Nutter (Chris) of Sevierville, Joey Richmond of Bryan and Jamie Viers (Jason) of Montpelier; and his brothers, Chris Richmond, Andy Richmond of Montpelier and Steve Richmond of San Francisco, California..
