He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. W. J. (Jake) and Betty Lou Holbrook (Prater); and his siblings, Kenneth Holbrook, L. Joyce Reader, Daisy Jane and Lily Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Shawn Kohlbeck; his son Isaiah; his siblings, Jerry Hurley (Larry) of Columbus Grove, Ohio, Steve Reader of Saint Paris, Ohio, Debra Beevers (Steven) of Bryan, Ohio, David Holbrook (Jamie) of Bryan, Ohio and Mark Holbrook (Susan) of West Unity, Ohio; and his parents-in-law, Deb Kohlbeck of Bryan and Dennis Kohlbeck (Laura) of Sanford, Florida. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Most recently, he was an advisor for the Joyce Reader Memorial Foundation.
