It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gladys Skiles of Edgerton, Ohio, born in Defiance, Ohio, who passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin E. Weber and Eva Blanche Weber (Pollock); her former husbands, Burl Jewell and Joseph Richard Hilbert; her husband Herschel M. Skiles; her sons, Ted and Larry Jewell; and her siblings, Russel, Donald, Paul, Jerry Weber, Arlyn L. Meyer and Bettie Groff.
She is survived by: her children, K. Paul Hilbert (Maria) of Anchorage, Alaska, Sue Bowling of Edgerton and Mary Hilbert of Santa Fe; and her sister Mary Wright of Huntington, Indiana. She is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, the family will receive friends while observing social distancing precautions.
