He is survived by: his son Michael J.; his daughter-in-law Amber Steele; his daughters, Margaret Ann "Peggy" (Bob Schuning) and Holly Suzanne Steele; the mother of his children Phillis E. Steele; his granddaughters, Madeleine D. Steele and Eleanor R. Steele; his stepgrandchildren, Jenna Hering and Raven Schuning; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ethan Schuning, Colton Norris, Draven Norris, Elizabeth Hering, Robert Hering and Harper Hering; his brother Robert L. "Bob"; his sister-in-law Joyce Steele; his niece Robin Smallwood; and his nephew Jamie Steele. He is also survived by several cousins and friends.
