He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy M. Cooper and Mae D. Cooper (Shields); his wife Bette J. Cooper (Rurode); his children, Richard A. Cooper and Anita Pierce; and his sister Joan Erwin.
He is survived by: his children, Greg, Tina Cooper, Jeff Cooper, Brenda and Keith Pemberton. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
