He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Johnson and Tisha Johnson (Hall); his wife Elizabeth "Allyne" Johnson (Slone); his son Michael E. Johnson; his grandson Micheal E. Johnson Jr.; and his siblings, Charles, Afton Johnson and Helen Watts.
He is survived by: his son Barry Johnson (Mary Lou); his daughter-in-law Kay Johnson; his grandchildren, Tisha, Jamie Lynn, Latonia, Jamie Marie and Heather; his great grandchildren, Kaya, Silas, Elizabeth, Brooklyn, Emily, Khyler and Mariah; his brother Edward "Rooney" Johnson (Terry); and his siblings-in-law, Cathy Profitt (Doug) and Leon Watts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Curtis's honor to the American Cancer Society.
