He was predeceased by: his father Myron Duane Thomas; and his father-in-law Larry A. "Monk" Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Kay "Kitty" Thomas (Johnson); his son Charles D. Thomas, II (Heidi); his mother Wathalene Rasner (Mullins); his siblings, Paula Lucas (Joe), Dan Thomas (Veronica) and Robert Thomas; his mother-in-law Patricia Johnson (Bradshaw); his siblings-in-law, Joe Johnson (Cindy), Tom Johnson (Vonda), Sam Johnson (Carol), Lori Johnson and Bill Johnson; and his grandchildren, Paige, Andrew and Avery Thomas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
