He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincenzo "James" Abate and Frances Abate; and his wife Theresa A. Abate. He is survived by: his children, Mary Frances Grebenc (Robert), Michele Greskowiak (Anthony), Marguerite Korbel (Dave) and Michael Abate, Jr. (Michelle); his grandchildren, Kevin Grebenc (Caroline), Karen Grebenc (Collin), Alyson Greskowiak, Sara Westmoreland (Johnnie), Anthony Greskowiak (Heather Foy), Kristen Korbel, Kelly Korbel, Lauren Abate, Michael and Holly Damante Abate, III (Fiancé); and his great grandchildren, Olivia Westmoreland, Julianna Westmoreland, Grace Westmoreland, Gianna Wright and Roman Greskowiak.
