He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy J. Gribben and Lucile DePillo Gribben; and his siblings, Bob Gribben, Pat Leister and Betty Rowley.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Gribben (Melott). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
