It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John P. Koren D. O. (East Palestine, Ohio), who passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephan Koren and Bertha Podolinski Koren; and his brothers, Robert Koren, Jerry Koren and William Koren.

He is survived by: his nephew Jeffrey; his wife Marcia; his son Matthew; his sisters, Mary Jane Penman (James), JoAnn Evan, Judy Davis (Robert) and Susan Garchar (Ronald); and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Koren, Dorothy Thomson and George Thomson.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, Social Concerns in East Palestine, or the Wounded Warriors Project in Dr. Korens name.
