He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bruno and Raffaela Bozzo Bruno; and his wife Margaret "Peg" McCormick. He is survived by: his siblings, Alfred, Florence Gegus, Josephine Planko, Sue Morrison and Mathilda; his stepchildren, Dianne Cope (Allan), Columbiana, John McCormick (Patty) and Massillon; his grandsons, Allan, Richard Cope, Brian McCormick (Penny) and Scott McCormick (Tammy); and his great grandchildren, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Hailey, Zachary and Jarett McCormick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
