It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Bender of East Palestine, Ohio, born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bender and Eleanor Bender; his daughter-in-law Brandi Bender; and his siblings-in-law, Ted Simoff and Patricia Connolly.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce M. Simoff; his children, John Bender (Crystal Lake) of Front Royal, VA, Julie Limpach (Matt) of Elyria, OH and Michael Bender (Kristin Falkner) of East Palestine, OH; his grandchildren, Evan Bender of Winchester, VA, Olivia Bender of East Palestine, OH and Matthew Limpach of Elyria, OH; his great grandchild London Bender of Winchester, VA.; his sister Barbara Heimann of Texas; his siblings-in-law, Michael Simoff (Bobbie McGowan) of New Castle, PA and Ellen Simoff of Harmony, PA; and his close friends, Richard and Dorothy Tilbrook of East Palestine, OH.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
