She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Garrett and Iva Tamer Lambright Garrett; her husband Jack Merle; and her siblings, Richard, Raymond, Thomas, James, Dale, Paul, Gerald Garrett, Mary E. Jenkins, Donna Huff, Ruth Broadbent and Gloria Bair.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Archibald (Paul) and Jack Sensanbaugher (Cheryl) of East Palestine; and her sisters, Dorothy Rankin of New Waterford and Marjorie Shafer of East Liverpool. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
