She was predeceased by: her parents, Fritz Zimmerman and Hedwig Zimmerman (Minekie); her husband Raymond Hilliard III; and her son-in-law Darrell Gills. She is survived by: her pet Ozzy; and her children, Alan Hilliard (Pamela Vanover-Hilliard), Ramona Gills and Lorraine Hilliard. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
