He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Clinton Smith, Sr. and Lillian Grace Malkin Smith. He is survived by: his wife Pamela R. Coleman Smith; his sons, Jeff Smith (Lisa) of East Liverpool, Jay Smith (Kim) of East Liverpool and Jason Smith (Holly) of Gainesville, Florida.; his grandchildren, Joshua Smith (Daniela), Bethany Hall (Brian), Emily Smith (Dean), Justus Smith (Ashley), Ranger Smith, Vita Smith, Malkin Smith and Declan Smith; his great grandchildren, Ezra and Norah Hall; and his sister Lydia Williams (Thomas) of Jenison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
