It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Mercer in East Liverpool, Ohio, born in Friendly, West Virginia, who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom Rawson and Pearl Rawson (Franks); and her husband Homer. She is survived by: her siblings, Vernon, Gay Arthur, Bill, Hilda, Joyce, Tom and Ben; her aunt Georgie Klubert; her son Joe (Karen); her grandsons, John (Suzanne) and Mike; her great grandchildren, Katlyn (Jimmy), Michael, Jojo, Morgan (TJ), Ethan and Jude Mercer; her great great grandchildren, Mikaela, Emma, Alice, Colson and Bryson; and her sister Carolyn Clough of Florida.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dawson Funeral Home (215 W 5th St, East Liverpool, OH 43920). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Riverview Cemetery (2026 St Clair Ave, East Liverpool, OH 43920).
