He is survived by: his mother Vivian Carson; his children, LaRonne Ferguson, Kenneth Carson Jr. (Tiffany), Justin Carson and James Carson; his siblings, Deborah Evonne Venable (David), Ralph Ervin Carson Sr. (Deborah), James Atkins (Widalys) and Karen Monteiro; and his aunt Mary Carson Witherspoon. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
