He is survived by: his daughters, Keri and Rachel Reid of Cleveland, OH; his former wife Susan Burnham Reid of Cleveland, OH; his sister Bettye Patton of Dayton, OH; his aunt Doris Jones of Dayton, OH; his sister-in-law Nancy Reid of Knoxville, TN; and his siblings, Denise Akers, Wilda Simpson, Deldon Tyus Jr. and Valinda Garner (Archie) of Cleveland, OH. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins he loved.
