She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester E. Young and Ruth Young (Schmitz); her stepfather Lloyd Potts; and her brother Pvt. She is survived by: her husband Earl E. "Butch" Haslam; her children, Troy O. Dalton Jr., Earl E. II, Brian L. Haslam and Ruth D. Howe; her grandson Joel D. Howe; and her siblings, Ruth E. Scarpino and Charles R. Young. She is also survived by grandchildren; one great-grandson.
