He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Wilson and Margaret Wilson (Sarver); and his half-brothers, Merle and Harry "Babe" Shearer. He is survived by: his sons, Van, Mark and David Wilson; his stepdaughter Valinda Picone; his grandchildren, Tyler, Hannah Wilson, Jaclyn and Ryan Picone; and his sister Norma Schlimm (Gene).
