She was predeceased by: her father Clifford Wilson; her husband Ray Lewis Davis Sr.; her grandparents, William Henry, Alice Brown (Shoemaker), Lee and Ruth Steele (Sloan); her siblings, Rosie Maxine Steele, Marilyn Edith Steele, Erma Hunnaman (Burlin), Eva Hundley (John), Helen Cannode (Millard), Phyllis House, Curtis Wilson Steele, Richard Clayton Steele, Mitchell Ray (Florence) and William Leroy Steele (Patricia); and her niece Peggy Ann Davis.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Bohannon (Bo) of Monterey, TN; and her children, Ray L. Davis Jr. of Dunkirk, Carol Sue Emmerling (Richard) of Peachtree City, Donna Jean Davis, Ann Bechtel (Larry) and Lisa G. Davis. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Vera's honor may be made to the American Red Cross.
