She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Sams and Doris Wedertz (Sams); her husband Harvey Benson Van Schoik; her stepfather Charles Wedertz; and her sisters, Rita Jean Waltermire, N. Colleen Abbott, Iris Eileen Hipsher and Reba Charlene Sams.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Van Schoik (Samantha Naug) of Apex, NC and Lynn Dee Schank (Van Schoik) of Findlay, OH.; her grandchildren, Joshua Van Schoik of Colorado, Katherine Renaud (Van Schoik) of Chicago, IL and Sarah Burdette (Don) of Fremont, CA; her great grandchildren, Ashton Van Schoik, Lilah and Trent Burdette; her half-brothers, Doyle Sams (Sharon) of Hardin County, David Sams of Hardin County, Duane Sams of Hardin County, Devere Sams of Hardin County and Dennis Sams (Sue) of Hardin County; and her brother-in-law Richard Hipsher of Findlay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dunkirk Grace United Methodist Church, Hardin Northern Community Center, or to the donor's choice.
