It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Kathryn Saunders of Duncan Falls, Ohio, born in Zanesville, Ohio, who passed away on June 6, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Forest Carter and Anna Mae Hock Carter; her husband Clayton Jones Saunders; her siblings, Jennie Lou Carter Shipsey, Robert Carter and Norman Taylor Carter (Nick); and her son Jonathan Kris Saunders.
She is survived by: her sons, Clayton Tom Saunders (Rhonda) of Saint Simon's Island and Dr. Karl C. Saunders (Barbara) of Zanesville; her grandchildren, Kathryn (Katie), John Saunders (Evonne) of Zanesville, Jennifer and Ryan Saunders of Saint Simon's Island; and her great grandchildren, William Carter Saunders and Jane Ann Saunders of Zanesville.
