He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob W. Janes and Eleanor Janes (Abel). He is survived by: his wife Dixie Janes (Love); his children, Dan Reinstetle (Norma), Jake Reinstetle (Linda) and Kyle Janes (Tara Lee); his grandchildren, Jennifer Rapp (Aaron), Scott Reinstetle, Amanda Reinstetle (Ashley Goldsmith), Abbe Schemmel (Markus) and Blake Reinstetle (Autumn); his great grandchildren, Wesley and Garrett Schemmel; his sister Patricia Parsons (Clarence); and his nephews, Shane and Jared Parsons.

He donated many hours of his time to the M&M Fire Department and he was a member of the Morgan County Athletic Boosters.
