He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Emerson and Pauline Newsom (Bryce); his brothers, Thomas and Richard Newsom; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Newsom.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Newsom (Peg); his children, Jeff Newsom (Jessica) of Minnesota, Eric Newsom (Jennifer) of Westerville and Tennille Fleming (Matt) of Zanesville; his stepchildren, William Wilkins (Jennifer) of Zanesville, Davin Wilkins (Amy) of Chandlersville, Andrew Wilkins (Sarah) of Philo and Wendi Kennison (Eric) of Chandlersville; and his siblings, Marlene Kramer of Zanesville, Ruth Ann Clements of Zanesville, Georgianna Trescott (John) of Adamsville and Randy Newsom (Theresa) of Zanesville. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
