He was predeceased by: his parents, Youell Howard and Eileen Quick; his former wife Virginia Chester; his siblings, Youell, Faye and Thelma Pickrell (Ronald); and his grandson Matthew Avery.
He is survived by: his children, Jan Avery (Tom) and Scott Quick (Theresa Buff); his wife Evelyn; his grandchildren, Erica Marshall (Josh), Lauren Todd (Wesley) and Ian Quick (Carissa Hays); and his great grandchildren, Lexie, Cole, Luke Marshall and Magnolia Quick. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Methodist Church Global Ministries.
