He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry R. Halas, Sr. and Alberta Halas. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Whitehurst (Daniel) and Rob Halas; and his siblings, Marie Mowery (Terry), Suzanne Steel (Ken Kulka) and Jim Halas (Carol). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
