He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonios Contakis and Stratia Contakis (Galanis); his daughter Stacey; his stepfather Peter Drost; his siblings, Charles (Marie) and Mary Fraser (Peter); and his niece Stacy Craft.
He is survived by: his wife Noula; his son Anthony (Linda); his grandchildren, Robert Basinger (Megan), Nicole Goldstein (Brian), James Contakis and Kathryn Contakis; his great grandchild Damien Basinger; and his nieces and nephews, Lynn Kuselias (George), Tony Contakis (Karen), Michael Contakis (Laura) and Christopher Fraser (Sheri). He is also survived by extended families, and numerous friends.
