She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Gast and Mary Gast; her husband Larry D. Gadert; and her brother James Gast. She is survived by: her children, Mark Gadert (Kim) of Texas and Veronica Shanline (Scott) of Ohio; and her sister Helen Kittka Wilson of Pennsylvania.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Hospital Hospice Program, 800 E. Carpenter, Springfield, IL 62769.
