She was predeceased by: her husband Salvatore Valvano; her parents, Joseph LaVista and Nellie LaVista; and her sisters, Rose LaVista and Phyllis Yannuzzi.
She is survived by: her daughters, Andrea Barton (Tim) and Joanne Weekley (Matt); her grandchildren, Heather Lofy (Matt), Brittanee Anania (Brian), Mark Weekley (Megan Warnecke) and Tanner Barton; her great grandchild Tuckerman Lofy; her siblings, Yola Alverso (Tommy), Michael LaVista and Joseph LaVista; and her sister-in-law Lucy Lippolis. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Heart Association or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
