He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Albert II and Madaline Bondurant (Ratlief); his fiancée Carolyn Veccia; and his brother Pierre Bondurant.

“Al and I went to middle and high school together in Chillicothe, Ohio. After graduation, he went to Ohio state, and I went to Ohio University. At our five year high school reunion we reconnected. We dated for two years and talked to getting married. Life doesn’t always work the way you plan. I moved to Florida to teach elementary school and he stayed in Ohio. We sporadically kept in touch over the many many years. Albert was my first true love. I always regret that our relationship ended. He was a funny, giving man who always made me feel special.”
