She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Tandy and Blanche Tandy (Hamilton); her husband Neil Bates; her daughter-in-law Ellen Bates; her grandchildren, Jonna Bates and Nathan Bates; her great grandchild Katie Jones; and her siblings, Beecher Tandy, Bill Tandy, Mike Tandy, Olive Tandy and Lyda Ellen Tandy.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott Bates (Robin), Michael Bates and Jon Bates (Deb Earnest). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
