He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Archer (Murphy); his sons, John Gilbert Archer (Laura E.) of Hampstead, James Edward Archer (Paula) of Ashville and Richard Alan Archer (Sandy Bishop) of Fargo; and his grandchildren, Alex, Avery and Ashlyn Archer.
