He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Zapotocky and Irene Zapotocky (Finageev). He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Bates (Eric) of Barberton and Gina Kalain of Akron; his grandchildren, Tyler Bates, Taylor Allen (Kyle), Austin Bates, Bailey Bates (Brittany), Logan Bates (Morgan), Caroline Kalain and Jacqueline Kalain; his great grandchildren, Addison, Kinsley, Paisley, Lincoln, Hazel, Harlow and Hudson; and his siblings, Peter Zapotocky (Lori), George Zapotocky (Lisa) and Mary Long (Jeff). He is also survived by niece, 3 nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home (132 Portage St, Doylestown, OH 44230). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
