It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Herman Genet Jr. of Doylestown, Ohio, born in Barberton, Ohio, who passed away on March 27, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman V. Sr. Genet and Doris Genet (Brown); his brothers, Anthony, Howard and Michael; his brothers-in-law, Mitchell Smith and Richard Nace; and his father-in-law Barry Weidner.
He is survived by: his wife Renee; his children, Angela Slicker (Matt) of Marshallville, Michelle Genet of Lakewood and Michael Genet (Katherine) of Monroe Falls; his grandchildren, Sabrina, William Slicker and Charlotte Genet; his siblings, Carol Nace, Margaret Watkins (David), Michelle Smith, Teresa McGill (Steve Williams), Joseph Genet (Susie) and Edward Genet (Katherine); his siblings-in-law, Margaret Genet, Debbie Moore (Jim), Melissa Coia and Jim Coia (Aimee); and his parents-in-law, Michelle Weidner, Ed and Carol Coia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Calling hours following Covid-19 guidelines to include face coverings, social distancing and a limited number of guests in the facility, will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p. m. at Zak-Thacker & Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown 44230.
