He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lance and Laura Lance (Wise); his former wife Charlotte Copley; and his siblings, David and Sandy Hanawalt.
He is survived by: his wife Lanice Stepp; his daughters, Gayle Green (Ray) of Sebastian, FL and Melissa Newton (Pete) of Powell, OH; his stepdaughters, Crista Bletsch of Akron, Trisha Cornwell (Wilder) of Osteen, FL and Beth Thomas (Chris) of Wadsworth, OH; and his sisters, Linda Sayre (David) of Doylestown and Kim Andrews (Jack) of Grove City, OH. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
