In the sacred silence of farewell, Barbara is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Barbara's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Paterson and Elsie Paterson; her husband Harold Newman; and her sisters, Hazel Gillilan and Janet Batche.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Brink (Guy), Lon Newman (Wanda), Len Newman (Gayle) and Tracy Newman (Kevin Hensley); and her sister Sherilyn Ryneer. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home (624 Cherry St E, Canal Fulton, OH 44614). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
