He was predeceased by: his parents, Garrison Immel and Opal Schweitzer Immel; his wife Joy A. Thompson; his brothers, Doran and Ken Immel; and his siblings-in-law, Janet, Marlene Immel and Wayne Gerber.
He is survived by: his children, Holli Immel-Keener (Jim) of Dover, Heather Immel (Bob Gibbs) of Dover and Shaun Immel (Jennifer) of Dover; his grandchildren, Madalyn Baer (Jon), Zachary, Rachel and Evelyn Immel; his siblings, Maxine Gerber, Max and Keith Immel (Peggy); and his friend Carol Harrold. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
