He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe F. Cappell and Betty Cappell (Hyde); and his pet Maggie. He is survived by: his wife Marla (Kail); his children, Marc W. Cappell (Shannon) of McKinney, Mindi VonKaenel (Paul) of Strasburg and Marcee Joe Cappell of New York City; his siblings, Richard Cappell (Mary) of Marysville, Ohio and Marcia Swiger (Mark) of Dover; and his grandchildren, Garnet, Sophia VonKaenel, Paige and Aly Cappell.

Memorial contributions can be made to the First Moravian Church of Dover, 319 N. Walnut St., Dover, Ohio 44622, or the Community Hospice Truman House, 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44622.

“Marla, it is hard to conceive the loss of Marc for you and your family. Memories keep flooding back almost 50 years when you and Scrubby Bear came out to Indy to party for the 500, and party we did. In true Losers Club spirit, Marc is still with us, he just took a break to find something to drink. God bless. dave and bobbi”
