He was predeceased by: his parents, William Rufener and Edna Rufener (Kasserman); and his brother Doyle Dean Rufener. He is survived by: his children, Michael Rufener (Barbara) of Dover, Susan Blickensderfer (James) of Dover, Kathleen Eichel (Colin) of Dover and Mark Rufener (Mary) of Dover; his grandchildren, Amy McVicker (Matt), Jamie Blickensderfer (Delia), Todd Eichel (Kelsey), Kelsie Eichel, Lauren MacGregor (Andrew), Kara Rufener, Dr. Thad Kandel (Julie Harris) and Stefanie Porter (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Zachary (Samantha), Andrew, Ryan McVicker, Brynn, Isaac and Serenity Blickensderfer; and his sister Shirley Arnold (Gene). He is also survived by three step great-grandchildren.
