She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Kappeler and Anna Stegmann Kappeler; her husband Walter E. Ickes; and her son Alan Ickes. She is survived by: her children, Susan Penrod (Clyde) of Dover, Gretchen Hobart (Bob) of New Philadelphia, Tim Ickes of Dover and Brian Ickes of North Canton. She is also survived by her three granddaughters; her six great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons; and her nieces and nephews.
