He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence C. Griffin and Harriet McMasters Griffin; his wife Loretta F. Weaver; and his siblings, Lois Jean Weaver and Edward E. Griffin Sr..
He is survived by: his son Jon Michael "Mike" Griffin (Roxanne) of Dover; his grandson Nathan Michael Griffin (Katie) of Dover; his great grandchildren, Kaladin Michael and Rowan Victor Griffin; his siblings-in-law, Shirley Griffin of Uhrichsville, Lillian Kennedy of New Philadelphia, Marguerite "Peggy" of Mello, Gene Weaver of Westerville, John and Eve Weaver of Florida; and his friend Bob Everett (Jack). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Jack's memory be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, or the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Rd. NE, both addresses at New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
