He was predeceased by: his former wife Ida Kail Klapper (Kathy); his parents, Franz H. Klapper and Hedwig Gritzan Klapper; his brother Rudy Klapper; his sister-in-law Dee Klapper; his daughter Terri Hartman; and his stepson Chris Elesky.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Klapper; his son Erik Klapper (Connie); his stepdaughter Dawn Elesky; his grandchildren, Kelsey Bradison (Chris), Hayden Hartman, Kyle Klapper (Sarah), Kristofer Klapper, Kaitlyn Klapper and Matt Hartman; and his stepgrandchildren, Robert "Robby" Elesky (Alexandria), Austin Elesky (Holly), Michelle Steed and Jake Dorn. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
