He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean Reifenschneider (Roth); his daughter-in-law Karen Reifenschneider; and his grandson Michael Reifenschneider. He is survived by: his children, Mike and Kay LaPorte (Tom); his granddaughters, Elizabeth LaPorte and Claire LaPorte; his great grandchild Jack LaPorte; his sister Lucy Haines; his brother-in-law Phil Roth (Nancy); and his close friend Linda Leatherman.
