She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Baum and Thekla Miller Baum; and her sister Claire Louise Barrett. She is survived by: her husband Jim R. Cotton; her sons, Dan Cotton (Martha) of Sheffield Village and Sam Cotton (Sheran) of Florahome, Florida; her grandchildren, Katherine "Katie" Van Hise (Dan), Max Daniel Cotton (Abby), Jenna Cohen (Corey) and Christopher Lanier; her great grandchildren, Lennon and Charlie Van Hise; her niece Dian Collins (Randy); and her nephew Kevin Barrett (Deb).
