He was predeceased by: his parents, R. Z. Littreral and Maudie Pendleton (Litteral); his wife Edith; his son Homer "Rerun" Litteral Jr.; and his siblings, Betty Ison, Susie Davis, Norman Gene Litteral and R. Z. Litteral Jr..
He is survived by: his brother Willie Litteral; his half-siblings, Homer Monroe, Connie, Imogene, Geraldine and Mary; and his grandchildren, Ellen Litteral, Carolyn Foster, Robert Litteral and Anna Litteral. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
